Eckart Lorenz guestbook

I am thankful that Eckart accepted me as a postdoc in the Munich group, and how he motivated me for improving every day. We will miss him !

I had the pleasure to meet Eckhart when he was serving in the ESA's committee of external referees charged of evaluating the EUSO ESA's phase A studies. I was immediately impressed by his wide knowledge of physics and technology, by his very human touch. There are no doubts that Eckhart Lorenz has been one of the driving, inspiring forces behind the developments of Astroparticle Physics, a great physicist always able to see beyond...

It was a great pleasure to meet him !

For many, the loss of Eckart is felt deeply. He was inspiring and one of the few who really cared of the growth of all of us, students, researchers, the field itself, never with personal ambitions. He had created around him a community of researchers spread over the world that really cared to hear his scientific evaluation of things. Thanks Eckart. We definitely will miss discussions with you.
