Abstract:
This thesis presents the first detailed study of the performance of the MAGIC Telescopes during observations at large zenith angles. These observations provide a better sensitivity to gamma-ray emission with energies of tens of TeV and enable the extension of the observable energy range up to ∼100 TeV. Studying gamma-ray emitting sources in this energy range with the precise angular resolution and energy estimation provided by IACT is crucial for understanding the origin of Galactic Cosmic Rays.
